Ginger's Wedding Card

Again, it has taken me forever to post. Maybe one day my life will get less hectic, and I will get to start living my life instead of living everyone else's. For those of you who know me well, you know exactly what I mean by that.
Well, I have finally made a card for Ginger's wedding. I bought the things to make it like 2 months ago. Her wedding is just over a month away, but since I have the gift all ready to go, wrapped and all, I figured I should make the card.
Here it is. I didn't do any stamping (except on the back to say it was created by moi) but I did find a really neato cake sticker that is a perfect touch to the card (really the focal point, not just a touch).

Unity Challenges 2-26-09

I always say it has been a while since I could play in my little stamp studio and make something fun and cute. Well, I finally cleaned that pile of stuff out of the floor and off the tables so I could put this rubber to use. Anyhoo, I have been ready to use this February Kit of the Month since it arrived. Here are some of the images from that kit on these two challenge cards.
One challenge was to make a Unity card with light blue. The other was to use Unity and create a matching envelope. Enjoy!!!

I have been in a creative funk for a while. This is my latest attempt to make something. Although, it is not what I envisioned, it is a start.

I used Papertrey Ink's Green Thumb for this little bag. I also used Berry Sorbet for the berries. I have added some of the cute vine ribbon I got from Papertrey Ink. I love that ribbon!

It always takes me forever to find time to create something. And, then even more time to post it. I had to create a card for my SU! demo group. We met last Saturday. I hadn't been able to meet with them in quite a while. I was so excited to see old friends and new ones. Here is the card I created for our swap.

Here's a card that we did as a make n take. I did not come up with this design. Another demo that is kinda in my group came up with this card(I think Michelle). I love it and am so happy she shared this idea on using the Top Note die another way.

One Last Crazy Thing from New Orleans

Do ya remember that awesome movie from '88 with Tom Hanks? Big???? Well, when I was in New Orleans there were tons of Zoltar machines. Some of them had different costumes on the fortune teller, but they all were called Zoltar. I had to take a pic because I use to love to watch Big.

I also took a picture of these awesome flowers in the window of some street off Bourbon.

Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Virginia Beach

Well, I went to the ever so awesome Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Virginia Beach. It was on Saturday, November 8. (I know, it takes me forever to post. I promise it will get better.) Anyways, I had soooooo much fun. My good chum, Ginger, went with me. Stampin' Up! had a regional here about a year and a half ago so I was pleasantly surprised that they had another one here. Anyways, here are some pics.

Also, other exciting news, WaWa sells their t-shirts online. I always want their darn t-shirts. Of course, I want an XL in the coffeetopia shirt and they are all out. Gotta have a WaWa.

Oh, forgot to add, I didn't create these cards. I am not sure who did, but I absolutely love 'em.

New Orleans Pic

I went to New Orleans last weekend with some friends from work. We went down for a wedding and also to enjoy the offerings of New Orleans. We had a blast. Splitcoaststampers Challenges and My Attempt

I am a SCS addict. I check it several times a day. This is nothing new to my closest friends. They already know this, and I guess my SCS friends know it, too. Anyways, I started doing the challenges last week. I actually finished my second one today. One card a week is not so bad for me. Time seems to keep vanishing, so I never have time to do any of my stamping and scrapbooking that I have always loved to do. So, here is my Coffe Break card I did today. It is not my favorite. I think having 2 little girls running circles around me made me rush through it. Well, here it is.

I am posting a card I just did today. I am a Splitcoaststampers addict. They post challenges and I have never done one. Today I decided to do one. I did the sketch challenge - where the give you a basic layout and design from there. I made a super simple card I call "Flower Field". I think once I finally get my stamp room in order I will have more room and time to make them a little more detailed. Right now simple works for me.

My School Open House

Last night was the night where most of the kids and their parents come to meet their teachers and see their new classroom. I saw a lot of my kids that will be in my class. Back to school night is not my favorite because I have to dress up and talk to people (I am not good at talking with people I don't know because I get nervous). Anyways, I have to say the thing I absolutley do love about Back to School Night is seeing kids I had in my class over the years. I saw one that I taught Social Studies to years ago. I swear he was taller than the top of the doorway. I just love seeing my kids and knowing they want to come back to say hi to me. I guess I am not so bad after all, hehe.

Plunger Ball

Riley has just created a new game that is gonna be all the rage. I might have to patent it. It is called Plunger Ball. Plunger Ball requires a standard household toilet plunger and a large outdoor ball. First, you take the plunger and you whack the hell out of the ball. It can be played with others or alone. Doesn't matter where the ball goes or what it hits. The object of the game is to just keep hitting the ball. It is best played indoors, where there are lots of breakable things like lamps, vases, and plasma tvs. Everyone is welcome to use our idea, and enjoy family time playing Plunger Ball.

Thinking of My Mom

I started back school this week. I went on Monday and Tuesday but didn't really have to start back until today. Everyday after school I would always get in the car and call my mom. This week I thought I was going to do the same. I got in the car, started to get my phone to call my mom, and then realized I couldn't call her like I wanted to. There have been several days over the summer where something happened, or I found a super deal at a store, and I wanted to call my mom to share my joy. It is hard to believe that I can't do it. It doesn't feel like she is really gone, just on vacation. Sometimes I will hear Elvis on the radio and I immediately think of her. He was her very favorite. Well, that's just my thought for today. I miss her tons.

Over the Weekend

Okay. So, I have not done so much stamping this summer. I plan on getting my life reorganized (if that makes any since) and start doing things for me again (if it is at all possible). I did manage to make 2 different cards last week and 12 of each for swaps I am doing. I am hoping to make at least 1 card a week, which will be more than I have done in a while. Well, here it goes. I'll post 'em right here.
